Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority-Eta Gamma Omega Chapter

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) is the first Greek-letter organization established by African American college-educated women. Founded on January 15, 1908, at Howard University in Washington, D.C., the sorority's mission is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, promote unity and friendship among college women, and to be of service to all mankind. The Eta Gamma Omega Chapter, established in 1971, is one of the many chapters of AKA, serving the community through various programs and initiatives focused on education, health, and economic development.
