Friends of DK

The Friends of DK organization honors the legacy of David (DK) Kim, who was a beloved member of the Davis, CA community and a passionate advocate for sports broadcasting and journalism. Following his untimely passing on November 1, 2021, due to complications from a heart condition, the organization aims to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in sports broadcasting or sports journalism. The scholarship program is designed to assist students with financial need while encouraging them to share their passion for the field and the stories behind sports.
