Friends of Matt

The Friends of Matt organization funds the Matthew S. Greene Student Athlete Scholarship, which honors the legacy of Matthew S. Greene, a beloved community member and coach who passed away after a six-year battle with cancer. The scholarship aims to support high school student-athletes in West Virginia who embody Matthew's core values of athleticism, strong academics, high character, Christian faith, and community involvement. The scholarship is open to applicants who can articulate what it means to be a good teammate and reflect on their experiences in sports and faith.
