Headbang For Science

Headbang For Science is a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides annual scholarships to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who are passionate about Heavy Metal music and pursuing careers in healthcare or physical sciences. Founded in 2021 by Jose 'Metal Ambassador' Mangin, a SiriusXM curator and former Pharmacy graduate student, the organization aims to support 'Metalheads' in their academic pursuits. The scholarship program awards a total of $33,000 annually to three deserving students, each receiving $11,000, based on their ambition, passion, and drive in both music and science.
