Martha R. Arias

The Alexis Mackenzie Memorial Scholarship for the Arts, funded by Martha R. Arias, aims to support underrepresented women pursuing their artistic dreams. This scholarship is specifically designed for Black or Latina female high school students who have been accepted to a two or four-year college or an arts institute and are in need of financial assistance. The scholarship honors the memory of Alexis Mackenzie, a passionate individual who loved the arts and tragically passed away in 2018. Through this initiative, the scholarship seeks to provide resources and support to talented students who may otherwise lack the means to pursue their artistic aspirations.
