Rowe Family

The John F. Rowe, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of John F. Rowe, Jr., a New York City firefighter, Army veteran, and Fordham University graduate. The scholarship aims to honor his legacy by supporting high school seniors from New York who have overcome adversity and aspire to enter public service careers. John faced significant challenges during his educational journey, growing up in the New York City projects and working from a young age. His military service provided him with the focus needed to achieve his goals, ultimately leading him to serve his community as a firefighter. The scholarship reflects the values of ambition, drive, and passion for helping others, which were central to John's life and work.
