• Must plan to enroll in an accredited college in California majoring in science or mathematics

• This program is open to seniors who are graduating from high schools in the Sacramento City Unified School District and who have an academic average of "B+" or higher.
• Applicants must be planning to enroll at an accredited college or university in the state and major in a field with a science or mathematics focus.
• Selection is based primarily on that essay, financial need, extracurricular activities and community involvement, incentive, leadership qualities, cooperative spirit, positive attitude and enthusiasm, and a well-rounded, outstanding high school experience.
• Special consideration is given to applicants graduating from C.K. McClatchy High School.
